Content Guidelines & Community Rules

Purpose

Neurabeach is a community repository / app store for educational, research, simulation, and computer-side brain-computer interface (BCI) related projects. It is inspired by the broader neurotech ecosystem but is not affiliated with Neuralink Corp.

Neurabeach is an independent community platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Neuralink Corp. or any medical device manufacturer. Content on this site must not claim to run on, modify, or directly interface with Neuralink implants or any other medical brain implant. Nothing here is Software as a Medical Device (SaMD). Always obtain appropriate regulatory approval before using any software with medical implants.

Strictly prohibited

• Software that runs on, modifies, flashes, or directly interfaces with a Neuralink implant or any other medical brain implant
• Implant firmware, implant OS components, or “N1” device code
• Content positioned as Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) or clinical treatment software
• Medical claims (e.g. curing disease, treating paralysis as a product claim on this platform)
• Instructions that encourage using community software with real medical implants without regulatory approval
• Malware, phishing, scraped private data, or harassment
• Spam, scams, or deceptive downloads

Allowed

• Neural / BCI simulations and synthetic data generators
• Offline analysis notebooks and visualization for public or synthetic datasets
• Computer control layers (cursor, keyboard, OS macros) driven by external or simulated decoder outputs
• Accessibility tools for general computer use
• Educational courses, ethics guides, research utilities
• Integrations with consumer research hardware (e.g. open EEG) clearly labeled as non-medical

Upload requirements

• Accurate title, description, category, version, and license
• Safety & ethics acknowledgment checkbox (mandatory)
• Prefer public GitHub/repo URLs for reviewability
• Compatibility notes should state computer-side / educational scope
• Projects may be held in pending status until moderated

Comments, ratings & reports

Be constructive. No medical advice. Report violations via the Report button on projects and comments. Moderators may remove content and ban accounts.

Badges

“Verified Researcher” and “Trial Participant” badges are optional and require manual admin approval. They do not imply medical authority or Neuralink affiliation.

Enforcement

Automated keyword filters reject obvious implant/medical content at upload. Human moderators review the queue. Violations may result in rejection, content removal, or permanent bans.
